Did Penn State do the right thing in firing Joe Paterno?

In a word, YES.

He did not report known child rapes allegedly committed by one of his coaches to the police. As a result, more children were allegedly victimized.

And just think, this college football crime story is now the top story in the nation.

Can you explain that based on what you've learning in the book?

  1. Of course it is #1 story in the news! It's FOOTBALL! By reporting the alleged incident, he walked away which allowed the damage to continue happening to these defenseless little kids that were being handed over into his buddy's 'alleged' molesting hands. Why didn't he kick his butt and call the police? The problem is, the good old boys system doesn't work like that. They cover it up and 'handle' it themselves! I wonder if it were one of their sons if they would have looked the other way! OH wait, these were just boys in a troubled kids foster home! But yet, Sandusky is out on $100,000 bail...
