Say it aint so!

The National Geographic Channel now features a show called "Wild Justice."

Episodes are titled things like "Deer Meat for Meth," "Marijuana Mountains," "Outgunned," and "Felony Friday." They feature their "Marijuana Eradication Team" going on "dangerous missions" to cut down and burn down pot.

While drug dealers in the national forests are a very serious problem and they do pose serious threats to park rangers who happen to stumble upon their stash every now and again, this show does literally nothing to examine the issue of what role prohibition plays in this reality. That is, it is due to the enormous profits generated by drug prohibition that people are willing to kill or injure law enforcement officers over drugs like marijuana that grow naturally everywhere, including on the sides of the road.

Oh brother, if the magazine I read growing up as a kid (and that I still faithfully read every month as an adult) will stoop to this level to generate ratings on TV, then any and every media organization will.
