Fox News caught using false news footage

Bill O'Reilly of Fox News was busted using footage from some protest where protesters were shoving people while talking about the recent protests by state employees in Wisconsin. Amazing, the footage failed to show snow on the ground (like in Wisconsin now) and also showed palm trees on the ground (Wisconsin has none).

The implication is that O'Reilly was trying to show that the protesters in Wisconsin were violent (when there has been no violence). He also asks his guest how many of the protesters are professionals or outsiders being bused in from other states (when in fact they are from the state and have a legitimate grievance).

This is not the first time.

Earlier, Fox News was busted for using footage from the 2008 presidential campaign when talking about Sarah Palin's public appearances and book tour. The effect was to make it seem like huge crowds were turning out to hear Palin speak (which was not true) by showing footage from the earlier presidential campaign (when large numbers of people of course did turn out to hear her speak).

Eventually people will have to question the value of this propaganda. Of course, Fox viewers are not learning that any of this is fake, so it will probably never happen.
