We can only help one homeless person in the country per year

Ah, what a heart-warming story about Mr. Ted Williams, a homeless man who happens to have a very nice voice (and a face made for radio).

Found on the side of a road recently by an NBC employee, and broadcast all over the media via Youtube and then network and cable news, Williams ultimately was offered numerous gigs doing voice work for the media (including a contract with MSNBC, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and many other jobs).

From homeless to rich, overnight.

And even as he appears all over the media, we hear virtually nothing about homelessness or solutions to the problem.

I guess if we save one, we're good. Plus it gives us all something to feel good about. Ah yes, the feel good story that is so common in the news.
